Partnerships

Although we remain an undergraduate focused group, WAE works closely with both the MIT Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics and the Women's Graduate Association of Aeronautics and Astronautics. We also partner with representatives and leaders in the aerospace field to help our members gain insight and perspective about careers in the field.

About Us

MIT Women in Aerospace Engineering (WAE) is a group of undergraduates focused on uniting women interested in the fields of Aeronautics and Astronautics.

Founded in 2014, our primary objectives are to foster a community and encourage relationships among women in aerospace engineering, to build outreach initiatives both within MIT and the broader community, and to connect our organization with industry sponsors and MIT alumni for support.

Spotlight On Our Members

As the WAE Social Chair, Katie organizes events and serves on the Exec Board. She is currently doing her research on the BioSuit under newly nominated NASA deputy administrator, Dava Newman. She is shown here presenting a demo of her work at the AeroAstro Centennial Symposium.
